Overview
MobilityWare grew out of Upstanding, a software company founded in 1990, and took its current name in 2003. When Apple’s App Store opened in July 2008, MobilityWare had 13 games ready on day one, including Solitaire, which is still its flagship. The studio has since added more card and puzzle titles and bought other developers, including Critical Hit Software in 2016 and Jump Ramp Games in 2019.
The Irvine studio hires game designers, artists, mobile engineers, and data and user-acquisition specialists. It has been named a Top Workplace by the Orange County Register several times.
