Western Digital

Hard drive maker whose high-capacity HDDs and storage platforms hold much of the data in cloud and AI data centers.

Overview

Western Digital was headquartered in Irvine for decades before moving its headquarters to San Jose. It still leases about 258,000 square feet in Irvine for R&D, administration, marketing, and sales, according to its fiscal 2026 annual report. In February 2025 it spun off its flash memory business as Sandisk, so it now focuses on hard disk drives.

The Irvine office is a good fit for storage, firmware, and systems engineers, along with finance, marketing, and sales roles.
